
Far-Right Activist Injured in Mannheim Knife Attack
A German court has ordered a 25-year-old Afghan-born man to be held on suspicion of attempted murder following a knife attack at an anti-political Islam event in Mannheim, which left six people injured, including a police officer with life-threatening injuries. The suspect, who has lived in Germany since 2014, was shot and wounded by police and is currently hospitalized. Authorities have not disclosed his citizenship or motive for the attack.
