Eight-year jail for German anti-fascist tied to Budapest Day of Honour violence
A Hungarian court sentenced 25-year-old German anti-fascist Maja T to eight years for taking part in violence at Budapest’s Day of Honour, a major neo-Nazi rally. Extradited from Germany in 2024, she was convicted of involvement in violence as part of a criminal organisation, attacking nine people including German and Polish citizens; the sentence can be appealed.
