
Anne Perry, Teen Murderer Turned Crime Novelist, Passes Away at 84
Anne Perry, the crime novelist who was convicted as a teenager for helping to bludgeon the mother of her friend to death, has died at the age of 84. The murder, which took place in New Zealand in 1954, inspired the film "Heavenly Creatures" by Peter Jackson. Perry's first novel was published in 1979 and her books, spanning multiple series, sold collectively 25 million copies worldwide.
