SE Bend gas station opponents appeal to state land-use board.
Opposing neighbors of a controversial southeast Bend gas station have appealed the city's approval to the state Land Use Board of Appeals, citing environmental and traffic concerns. They have also reached out to the Andretti Group, the holding company of GP Energy/Colvin Oil, to seek common ground and appeal directly to Michael Andretti to respect the over 2,000 residents who do not want a gas station in their neighborhood. The opponents would like to have electric charging stations instead, as they believe that's where the future of Bend is.
