Fire crews rescue rafters stuck on small island in American River

Eight people were rescued by Sacramento Metro Fire after their raft hit a snag in the American River and pushed them into a small island. All eight people needed assistance to get back to the Harrington access point in Rancho Cordova, but there were no injuries reported. Only three people were wearing life jackets, prompting a reminder from Metro Fire to always wear life jackets while rafting.

Multiple Bodies Identified in Northern California Waterways
