Intel's XeSS upscaling technology outperforms AMD FSR 2 in Cyberpunk 2077 and almost matches NVIDIA DLSS 3 in image quality. A benchmarking YouTuber compared the three upscaling technologies and found that XeSS 1.1 was very close to DLSS 3.1 in terms of image quality, while AMD's FSR 2.1 implementation in Cyberpunk 2077 quality mode showed much visual artifacting and shimmering. Although XeSS has yet to see similar traction as NVIDIA's DLSS and AMD's FSR, Intel's GPU division is pushing for better support and optimized drivers since the launch of Arc graphics cards.
