The Portland International Airport, once highly ranked, has dropped to sixth place in the 2025 J.D. Power rankings for large airports, despite recent upgrades and improvements, highlighting the competitive nature of airport satisfaction ratings.
United Airlines and Houston Airport System will invest $2 billion into George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston, with the highlight being a revamped Terminal B. The terminal will feature 40 new gates, split into two concourses, North and South. Terminal B North will house the world's largest United Club on the mezzanine level, offering views of the airfield. Other upgrades include an expanded pre-security ticketing and departures lobby, a new security checkpoint, and improved boarding for regional flights. The terminal will also have a sensory room, multimedia park, and special zones for passengers with disabilities. The baggage claim and arrivals hall will be expanded, and a new baggage handling system with advanced tracking technology will be implemented. No completion date has been announced.
