The US government has identified the remains of a Detroit-area airman who was killed in World War II. The airman, Staff Sgt. Richard L. Parker, was a member of the Army Air Forces and was killed during a bombing mission over Germany in 1944. His remains were recently identified through DNA analysis and will be returned to his family for burial.
