Google has released Android 16 to Pixel phones, introducing features like group chat in RCS, AI-driven photo editing suggestions, and enhanced security. The update also includes improvements for accessibility, customization, and support for Bluetooth LE audio. Additionally, Google announced Pixel June features such as a VIP widget, detailed video captions, AI-generated stickers, and satellite connectivity for emergency SOS, along with enterprise updates like storing corporate badges in Google Wallet and enhanced PDF handling in Chrome.
Canva, the design platform, has added new features including AI-powered editing tools, better photo editing options, and new video editing features. The company has surpassed 155 million monthly active users and 15 billion designs have been created using Canva. The new features are aimed at supporting enterprise with particular focus on marketing and creative teams. The first addition is called Magic Design, which is purpose-built to help designers who are struggling with a creative rut dig themselves out of it. Canva is also adding to Magic Write, its AI-powered copywriting assistant, by making it available outside of Canva Docs and available in every type of design that can be done on the platform, from websites to presentations, video, and more.
