Atlanta's Black Restaurant Week is back, featuring nearly 100 local African American, African, and Caribbean restaurants from August 6 to August 20. The event, which began in Houston in 2015, aims to support Black-owned food businesses through culinary events and complimentary marketing services. Participating restaurants have seen a 15% increase in sales from previous events. The organizers hope to spark conversations about the challenges facing the Black community and showcase the diverse cultural cuisines found at Black-owned restaurants. A grand tasting event will take place on August 10 at State Farm Arena.
