Michael Haley will be serving as a staff officer with the 218th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, which is providing support in the Horn of Africa, where the United Nations says the region is facing the worst drought in 40 years. Nikki Haley has been critical of President Joe Biden's performance as commander in chief and has pledged to make cuts in foreign aid to countries that she says "hate America."
