"US Army Seeks Industry Input for Artillery Software Revamp"
The US Army's Program Executive Office Command, Control and Communications-Tactical is seeking industry input to modernize the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), a software application used for coordinating artillery and air support on the battlefield. The AFATDS program, which has been in use for decades, aims to improve situational awareness and targeting data in real-time. The Army is prioritizing networking and communication enhancements as it pursues Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control. The program executive office has issued a request for information to overhaul AFATDS, which interfaces with over 80 other systems.
