Apple's iPhone 14 Emergency SOS Rescues Trapped Utah Students.
Three students who went canyoneering in Utah and got stuck in an area with no cellular signal were saved by the iPhone 14's Emergency SOS via Satellite feature. The students were able to text 911 every 20 minutes by holding up the phone to get enough satellite signal. Emergency SOS via Satellite has already been used in several other life-threatening situations and is available to all iPhone 14 users in select countries. The feature is free to use for two years.
