Verizon Teams Up with Netflix and Warner Bros for $10 Monthly Streaming Bundle

Verizon has announced a $10-a-month bundle of Max and Netflix for its customers, providing access to the ad-supported plans for both services and saving users about $7 a month compared to subscribing to them individually. To avail of this deal, customers must be Verizon subscribers and sign up through the myPlan feature. The profits from the bundle will be split between Verizon, Netflix, and Warner Bros. Discovery, although the specific breakdown was not disclosed. This partnership could help Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery expand their ad-supported services by leveraging Verizon's large subscriber base. Subscribers to the bundle will receive logins for both the Max and Netflix apps, allowing them to watch content on various devices, including smart TVs.

Streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, and others have been steadily increasing their prices, with Netflix's most expensive plan now crossing the $20 threshold. To offset rising prices, streamers are exploring ad-supported plans, which have proven to be lucrative. The gap between premium and ad-supported plans is widening, with the majority of subscribers opting for the cheaper option.
