State Department cuts citizenship renunciation fee to $450
The State Department reduced the cost to formally renounce U.S. citizenship from $2,350 to $450 (an 80% cut), effective immediately and returning to the 2010 level after years of legal challenges by groups such as the Association of Accidental Americans.
