Researchers at the University of Kansas have developed an AI detector that can identify AI-generated content in academic papers with 99% accuracy. The detector was trained using 128 articles created by ChatGPT, and had a 100% accuracy rate in identifying human-created articles from AI-generated ones. Several existing programs and services also promise to identify AI-written content, including TurnitIn, Copyleaks, Winston AI, OpenAI’s Classifier, and AI Writing Check.
