2023 James Beard Awards: Finalists Revealed from Across the US
Only three Bay Area restaurants and chefs have progressed to the finals of the 2023 James Beard Awards, with Lazy Bear, Abaca's pastry chef Vince Bugtong, and SingleThread's Kyle and Katina Connaughton receiving nominations. The Bay Area missed out on the biggest categories, including Best New Restaurant, Outstanding Chef, and Outstanding Restaurateur. The winners will be announced on June 5 at a live ceremony in Chicago.
