HBO Max Drops 4K Streaming and Concurrent Streams for Legacy Subscribers
Warner Bros. Discovery's streaming service, Max, is removing 4K Ultra HD movies and TV shows from its standard ad-free plan, limiting the resolution to 1080p and reducing the number of simultaneous streams from three to two. The 4K content will now be available only in Max's Ultimate Ad-Free plan, which also offers Dolby Atmos support and up to four concurrent streams. The changes will take effect from December 5, 2023, and the subscription price will remain the same.
