Apple's 2024 MacBooks and iPads with 3nm chips face uncertain demand
Apple plans to release new MacBooks and iPads with 3nm chips in 2024, but demand for the devices might be "below expectations" due to a "lack of growth drivers," according to supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The decline in MacBook and iPad shipments in 2023 is attributed to the end of work-from-home demand and diminishing user appeal for new specifications. However, the next iPad Pro models featuring OLED displays could be a growth driver. Kuo does not expect any new MacBooks or iPads to be released until the end of 2023.
