Corvette ZR1X Sets American Production-Car Drag Record: 8.675s Quarter-Mile, 1.68s 0-60
GM's 2026 Corvette ZR1X, the brand's fastest production car, uses a twin-turbo LT7 V8 paired with a front-axle electric motor to deliver 1,250 hp and AWD. On a prepped surface it ran a 8.675-second quarter-mile at 159 mph on pump gas with street-legal tires, and hit 0–60 in 1.68 seconds using Custom Launch Control; on an unprepped surface it did 8.99 seconds and 1.89 seconds to 60. Production began December 2025 at Bowling Green, and GM markets the ZR1X as a sub-$1 million high-performance machine.
