Nazi-Looted Silver Finds Its Way Back to Museums.

German museums are returning silver objects that were confiscated or pawned from Jews during the reign of the Third Reich. While much attention has been given to the looting of fine art, less has been said about the theft of more prosaic valuables. Several German museums are now quietly engaged in a determined effort to return these items, under an initiative started in recent years. The search for heirs who have claims to the silver items is also underway at additional museums and archives in Munich, Stuttgart, Berlin and Hamburg.
