An 80-year-old American woman was killed and another woman was injured in Zambia when an elephant charged at a vehicle carrying tourists in Kafue National Park. Four other people suffered minor injuries during the incident, which occurred during a game drive. The conservation and hospitality company Wilderness, which was running the trip, expressed condolences and stated that the guide's route became blocked, preventing the vehicle from moving out of harm's way quickly enough.
