Winter Weather Woes: Chaos and Standstill in Southern Germany

Heavy snowfall in southern Germany has caused chaos, with Munich airport suspending flights until Sunday morning and over 760 flights affected. More than 40 centimeters of snow fell overnight, leading authorities to ask residents to stay home for their safety. Train traffic has also been disrupted, with cancellations and delays expected throughout the region. A football match between Bayern Munich and Union Berlin has been called off. The weather is expected to ease in the afternoon, but more snow is forecasted for Allgäu in the south of Bavaria.
