This is the sixth time the red alert has been triggered, and the first this year. Temperatures are expected to reach between 35 and 38 degrees Celsius in most affected areas, with peaks of 41 degrees in some regions. On Tuesday, temperatures are predicted to rise to between 40 and 42 degrees Celsius in certain southern departments.
