Kenyan Doomsday Cult Death Toll Surpasses 300

The death toll from a Kenyan doomsday cult led by Paul Mackenzie has crossed 300, with more than 600 people still missing. Mackenzie is accused of ordering his followers to starve themselves and their children to death so they could go to heaven before the end of the world. Around 65 rescued followers were charged with attempted suicide after they refused to eat during their stay at a rescue center. Mackenzie was arrested on suspicion of murder but was subsequently freed.
