UAE denies South Africa's extradition request for Gupta brothers.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has rejected South Africa's request for the extradition of the Gupta brothers, who are accused of political corruption. The brothers are accused of using their connections with former South African President Jacob Zuma to win contracts, influence Cabinet appointments, and siphon off state funds. The UAE court determined that it had jurisdiction on the charge of money laundering, but cancelled the arrest warrant relating to the charge of fraud and corruption. South Africa plans to appeal the decision.
