"The Wagner Mutiny: A Threat to Putin and Prigozhin"

The EU's foreign affairs ministers met in Luxembourg to discuss military assistance to Ukraine, tensions between Kosovo and Serbia, sanctions against Iran, and relations with Latin America. However, the attempted military coup in Russia by Yevgeny Prigozhin and his mercenary troops of the Wagner Group dominated the meeting. The EU foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, said that the monster Putin created with Wagner is now acting against him. The failed coup poses the greatest threat to Putin's grip on power since his arrival in the Kremlin more than 20 years ago. The Lithuanian minister urged Western allies to reinforce Europe's eastern flank in reaction to the growing unpredictability inside Russia.
