Terry Gou Reveals Running Mate for Presidential Bid

Terry Gou, founder of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. and aspiring presidential candidate for Taiwan's 2024 election, has announced singer-actress Tammy Lai as his potential running mate. Gou highlighted Lai's communication skills and female perspective, emphasizing the importance of promoting gender equality. As an independent candidate, Gou must collect signatures from around 290,000 people by November 2 to qualify for the ballot. If successful, he will compete against Vice President Lai Ching-te, New Taipei Mayor Hou Yu-ih, and Taiwan People's Party Chairman Ko Wen-je in the upcoming elections on January 13, 2024.
