US Attorney General Merrick Garland has authorized the transfer of forfeited Russian assets for use in Ukraine, marking the first such transfer. The assets were seized from Russian oligarch Konstantin Malofeyev, who was charged with violating sanctions imposed on Russia after its invasion of Ukraine. Garland stated that this transfer will not be the last.
