"Rajasthan's Deputy Princess: Diya Kumari's Political Rise"

Diya Kumari, a member of the erstwhile Jaipur royal family and an MP from Rajsamand, has been named one of the two deputy chief ministers of Rajasthan by the BJP. Known as the "People's Princess," Kumari has won three elections since joining the BJP in 2013. She campaigned on issues such as the environment, education, healthcare, and women's empowerment. The other deputy chief minister is Prem Chand Bairwa, an MLA from the Dudu Assembly seat. The BJP's decision to name a Brahmin face as the chief minister and Rajput and scheduled caste leaders as deputy chief ministers is seen as an attempt to balance caste equations.
