President unveils framework for justice reform.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog has proposed a "People's Framework" to replace the government's plans for judicial reform, calling it a "golden middle path" that offers the best chance for a broad national agreement on reform. The proposal includes changes to the Judicial Appointments Committee, Basic Laws, and the High Court. Herzog warned against a power struggle over the judiciary and urged both sides to seize the opportunity for "a formative constitutional moment."
