Raisi praised the late Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and criticized the US sanctions on Iran and Nicaragua. The US did not directly comment on Raisi's trip, but a US House of Representatives chairwoman said it demonstrates the failure of President Joe Biden's Latin America policy.
