Government Revokes Suspension of DMK MP Parthiban Despite Absence

The Indian government has decided to revoke the suspension of DMK MP S R Parthiban from the Lok Sabha, as it was determined that his inclusion on the suspension list was a case of mistaken identity. The total number of MPs suspended for the remainder of the winter session now stands at 14. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi acknowledged the mistake and requested the speaker to drop Parthiban's name from the list. The suspension of 13 other Lok Sabha MPs was upheld for violating a decision to not display placards in the House. Additionally, Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien was suspended from the Rajya Sabha.
