Former Scottish Leader Nicola Sturgeon Arrested in SNP Financial Probe

Former First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, has been arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation into the funding and finances of the Scottish National Party (SNP). Her husband, ex-SNP chief executive Peter Murrell, was also arrested and released in April. The investigation began almost two years ago after complaints were made relating to more than £600,000 that was donated to the SNP by activists. Sturgeon is cooperating with the investigation, and the SNP has declined to comment on the matter.
