EU Leaders Give Green Light to Ukraine Ammunition Deal

EU leaders have endorsed a deal to increase the supply of artillery shells to Ukraine as the country defends itself against Russia's invasion. The plan, which would send 1 million rounds of artillery shells to Ukraine over the next 12 months, was adopted during a meeting of foreign and defense ministers earlier this week. Hungary and Bulgaria have ruled out the delivery of shells, but the majority of EU member states have signed off on the fast-track procedure. The summit is also discussing energy supply, climate change, and the EU's competitiveness in response to the US Inflation Reduction Act.
