Ethiopia removes Tigray party from terrorism list and extends UN probe.

Ethiopia has withdrawn a draft motion that aimed to end a UN-mandated investigation into the Tigray war six months early, following pressure from Western countries. The International Commission on Ethiopia has already found reasonable grounds to believe that all parties have committed war crimes. The US also determined this week that all sides, including the Ethiopian and Eritrean armies, had committed war crimes. Ethiopia had circulated the draft motion to block the publication of the findings and a final debate. However, Ethiopia has since backed off amid pressure.
