Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been sworn in as Turkey's president for an unprecedented third time, following three stints as prime minister. The inauguration ceremony was attended by dozens of foreign dignitaries, including Nato Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt. Erdogan faces a host of domestic challenges, including a battered economy, pressure over the repatriation of millions of Syrian refugees, and the need to rebuild after a devastating earthquake in February.
