Controversy Surrounds Inauguration of India's New Parliament Building.

The BJP has accused opposition parties of having "extreme hatred" for Prime Minister Narendra Modi after many announced a boycott of the inauguration of the new parliament building on May 28. The Congress has demanded that President Droupadi Murmu, not PM Modi, do the inauguration. The BJP countered by asking what was the "locus standi" of Sonia Gandhi when she inaugurated legislative buildings in Manipur and Tamil Nadu. The BJP alleged that the opposition parties were making it an issue because of their "extreme hatred" for Modi.
