BJP's Refusal to Take Oath Under AIMIM's Akbaruddin Owaisi Raises Concerns in Telangana Assembly

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana, led by G Kishan Reddy, has hinted at attempts to destabilize the democratically-elected Congress government, claiming it is fragile and reliant on the support of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). The BJP chief criticized the appointment of AIMIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi as Protem speaker and suggested that the Congress and AIMIM are colluding. Speculation has arisen that the BJP and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) may be planning to topple the government, potentially with the support of industrial groups, by enticing Congress MLAs to defect.
