Austrian Social Democrats Declare Wrong Leader Due to Technical Error.

The Social Democrats (SPÖ) in Austria announced the wrong winner of its party election due to a technical error. Andreas Balber, the mayor of Traiskirchen, was declared the winner with 52.66% of the votes, while Hans Peter Doskozil, the governor of Burgenland, received 46.51% of the votes. Balber has asked the electoral commission to check the votes again for transparency, and if the results are still correct, he will take office. The SPÖ is currently polling behind the far-right Freedom Party, and supporters hoped the election would give the party a bigger outlook in the future.
