Amsalem Urges Arrest of Protest Leaders, AG Removal, and Barak Investigation

Regional Cooperation Minister David Amsalem has called for the arrest of anti-judicial overhaul protest leaders, the ousting of Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, and the investigation of former Prime Minister Ehud Barak. Amsalem criticized the protest leaders for causing "mass disturbances" and accused them of lawlessness. He also expressed his belief that Barak should have been interrogated and claimed that he is above the law. Amsalem further criticized Baharav-Miara, stating that she should have resigned when the new government was established. He justified a proposal to limit the powers of government legal advisers, arguing that the Likud party has been prevented from governing.
