Meloni's Early Return from G7 to Support Flood-Hit Regions in Italy

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has pledged to support the recovery of flood-hit areas of northern Italy's Emilia-Romagna region, where floods have killed 14 people and caused damage estimated at billions of euros. Meloni toured towns in the region and said the damage was huge but it was hard to put a figure on the financial impact. She added that Italy might call upon the European Union's Solidarity Fund for natural disasters.
