Tragic Collision Claims US Soldier's Life on German Highway

A 24-year-old US soldier was killed when the armored vehicle she was traveling in collided with a civilian semitruck on a highway in Germany. The soldier, who was looking out of the roof hatch at the time of the collision, was struck in the head by the heavy hatch and later died in the hospital. This marks the second tactical vehicle crash involving Army troops in Bavaria in less than a week during training, and the third motor vehicle-related death of a US soldier in the German state this year.
