The US is modifying Abrams tanks before sending them to Ukraine to remove sensitive technology that could fall into the hands of Russian forces. The tanks are expected to be ready for combat in Ukraine by fall. The lower-tech tanks the Ukrainians will receive won't have sensitive components that the Russians can exploit. The Abrams tanks will give Ukraine an edge but not the decisive one, according to Army Gen. Mark Milley.
