US Imposes Sanctions on Entities Linked to Russian Malign Activities in Africa

The Wagner Group, a proxy military force of the Kremlin, has been involved in widespread human rights abuses and appropriation of natural resources across multiple African countries. The sanctions aim to disrupt the networks enabling Russia's illicit and destabilizing activities in Africa.
