Turkey's Approval of Sweden's NATO Membership Expected Soon

Sweden expects Turkey to approve its NATO membership "within weeks," according to the Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs. Turkey had raised concerns about Sweden's alleged harboring of PKK militants, while Hungary had expressed concerns over comments criticizing its lack of democratic values. Although Turkey's president agreed to let Sweden into the alliance during a NATO summit, the Turkish Parliament is yet to approve it. However, the Swedish minister stated that Hungary would not be the last to ratify Sweden's accession, indicating that the decision lies more in Ankara's hands.
