Turkey Approves Finland's NATO Membership

Finland has been granted approval by Turkey to join NATO, after its application was held up by Turkey's concerns with Sweden. Joining NATO will simplify Finland's foreign policy and provide mutual defense guarantees against Russia, which has become a more hostile neighbor since the war in Ukraine. While many Finns do not dislike Russians as individuals, they are wary of the Russian state and have a "Plan B" in case of conflict.
