The Taliban has released 84-year-old Austrian far-right activist Herbert Fritz, who was arrested in Afghanistan last May, after defying Austria’s travel warnings. He had been held on suspicion of spying after reporting positively on life in Afghanistan and fueling anti-immigration arguments.
