"Spanish PM Urges Peace Talks for Palestinian State Amidst Gaza Crisis"

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has proposed an international peace conference on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and called for the establishment of a viable Palestinian state. Sanchez met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem and also planned to meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. He emphasized the need for a political settlement to avoid a never-ending cycle of violence and expressed support for Israel's right to defend itself while condemning the high number of Palestinian casualties. Sanchez's proposal has received endorsement from the European Union, Arab League, and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
