Russia's Failed Objectives in Ukraine: Slow Progress in Counteroffensive

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) has stated that Russia's military failed to achieve any of its intended objectives in Ukraine, including taking Kyiv within three days. The UK Defence Ministry believes that Russian troops are now likely struggling with low morale, disparate units, and a limited ability to strike Ukrainian artillery. Ukrainian forces have made steady gains and are conducting counteroffensive operations, while Russian forces are focused on holding occupied territory.
